True Synchronized Video

Never again forget to press the record button on your camera or run out of space on your memory card because you're recording while in the hot pits. The Chase CAM camera system is completely controlled and directly plugged into any one of the R.L.C. race dashes. The race dash turns the camera on/off and starts/stop recording when the dash starts/stops logging data. Files are time and date stamped for easy reference.

R.L.C. worked closely with Chase CAM to produce the only truly synchronized video. Data is actually embedded in the video file to create just one file. By embedding the data in the video file we ensure that the data being taken by the R.L.C. race dash (RPM, speed, track position, brakes, engine temp, etc.) is in fact directly linked to the video being taken by the camera. Now when you play your log file on the PC Race Analysis Software your video, data, and track position are exactly linked. You can click any place on the track and your video and data will all jump to that exact position. Knowing that your data and video are truly synchronized you can analyze your data in more depth than ever before. You can see the exact position you applied the brakes, when you dove into a turn, and when got back on the throttle. Compare this to your fastest lap and you will improve your lap times in no time at all. If you would like to see an example of our synchronized video please visit the Download page under Technical Info to downlaod a synchronized video demo.

Below is a screen shot of the PC Race Analysis Software. We are zoomed in on the track map so you can see how it directly corresponds to the video and the data. Being able to see this amount of detail is an essential tool when analyzing your data.

Other companies advertise that they have synchronized video, but what they're not telling you is that you have to manually synch the video file with the data file or overlay the data onto the video. Synching two separate files or overlaying data is not exact and probably won't match up 100%. Video overlays can be useful, especially if you do not have a Chase CAM camera system, but they will never be completely accurate. You could be playing the wrong video file with the wrong data file and not realize it. Often times the video is off by several seconds, your data will have you entering a turn and your video shows you existing the turn. By working directly with Chase Cam, R.L.C. is ensuring that our video will truly be synchronized and the data will directly correspond to your data. R.L.C. is working with some third party companies to offer video overlays and the option will be available soon.
